Rhodes beaches

Sandy shores, clear coves, and easy day trips along the Rhodes coast.

Elli beach

Elli Beach

A lively city beach at the northern tip of Rhodes Town, with clear water, cafes, restaurants, and the well-known diving platform. Tip: come after a morning in the Old Town for an easy swim without leaving the city.

Kallithea outer view

Kallithea Springs

Part historic spa, part swimming spot, with restored architecture, gardens, and calm blue water. Tip: go early if you want photos and a quieter swim before the sunbeds fill.

Faliraki beach

Faliraki Beach

A long sandy beach with easy facilities, water sports, and a lively summer feel. Tip: choose this when you want everything close by; pick another cove if you are looking for quiet.

Rhodes anthony quinn beach

Anthony Quinn Bay

A small rocky cove with clear water, green hills, and some of the island's prettiest colours. Tip: bring water shoes and a mask; it is better for floating and snorkelling than long sandy walks.

Traganou beach

Traganou Beach

A clear-water beach near Faliraki with pebbles, patches of sand, and sea caves at one end. Tip: it is a good choice when you want space, simple swimming, and a little exploring.

Afandou beach

Afandou Beach

One of Rhodes' longest beaches, with clear water, a mix of sand and pebbles, and plenty of room to spread out. Tip: bring shade if you plan to stay long; the open stretches can feel very sunny.

Panagia tsampika north side view from above

Tsambika Beach

A wide golden-sand beach with shallow water, sunbeds, and the monastery high above the bay. Tip: families usually love it here; climb to the monastery only in cooler hours and take water.

Kiotari beach

Kiotari Beach

A relaxed south-east coast beach with clear water, pebbles and sand, tavernas, and resort facilities nearby. Tip: pair it with a slow drive towards Lindos or the quieter south.

Prassonissi beach

Prasonisi

A dramatic southern tip where two seas meet and the wind brings surfers and kites into the sky. Tip: it is a long drive from Rhodes City, so make it a day trip and check the wind if you want a calm swim.

Kamiros beach

Kamiros Beach

A quieter west-coast beach with pebbles, clear water, and a more local feel than the busy resort areas. Tip: combine it with Ancient Kamiros or a sunset drive along the coast.
