Elli Beach
A lively city beach at the northern tip of Rhodes Town, with clear water, cafes, restaurants, and the well-known diving platform. Tip: come after a morning in the Old Town for an easy swim without leaving the city.

Rhodes is the big island — medieval Old Town, sandy beaches on the east coast, Lindos acropolis, and villages where life still feels Greek. Base here if you want variety: culture in the morning, sea in the afternoon, tavernas at night.
Rhodes gives you a little bit of everything without asking you to choose one kind of holiday. Spend the morning inside the medieval walls, stop for coffee near the harbour, then come home for a quiet rest before dinner.
The east coast is made for easy beach days, from sandy family spots to small coves with clear water. Lindos, Seven Springs, the Valley of the Butterflies, and Prasonisi all make good day trips when you want to see more of the island.
It is a practical base too: flights arrive directly on Rhodes, buses and taxis are easy to find, and Chalki is close enough for a slow island escape by ferry. If you are not sure how to split your days, we are happy to help you plan it.
Getting there: Fly into Rhodes International (Diagoras). From there, taxis and buses reach the city in 20–30 minutes.

Part historic spa, part swimming spot, with restored architecture, gardens, and calm blue water. Tip: go early if you want photos and a quieter swim before the sunbeds fill.
A long sandy beach with easy facilities, water sports, and a lively summer feel. Tip: choose this when you want everything close by; pick another cove if you are looking for quiet.
The Old Town is the place to wander slowly: stone lanes, shaded courtyards, fortified walls, and the Palace of the Grand Master at its heart. Tip: go early or later in the day, then stay for dinner inside the walls.
A peaceful archaeological area on Monte Smith Hill, with the ancient stadium, odeon, and remains of the Temple of Apollo. Tip: it is close to Rhodes City and lovely near sunset, when the heat softens.
A small ruined castle with wide Aegean views and a quiet, windswept feeling. Tip: stop here on a west-coast drive; the view is the main reason to come.
